When: September 12, 2012

Throughout the country, child welfare stakeholders continue to collaborate in an effort to develop and implement innovative programs designed to improve outcomes for children and families who find themselves in the court system. Lack of financial resources is a consistent barrier to implementation of these programs. As a result, the interest in federal and charitable grant opportunities has peaked. However, applying for grant programs requires specialized knowledge that includes understanding exactly what the grantor requires in the application process. All grant seekers, regardless of their specialty, must develop a basic understanding and awareness of grant writing. This course will present a blueprint for the grant writing process that will prepare you to write your grant successfully. Along the way, the presenter will provide examples of common mistakes and offer advice on how to improve your odds of winning a grant.

Target Audience: This training is open to individuals interested in applying for grants to implement programs in their court, community, or child welfare organizations. Space is limited.
